Former President Trump announced on Sunday that he has invited the relatives of a National Guard member fatally shot last week to attend the presidential home.

He added that he contacted her family and they were “deeply grieving”.

Law enforcement have accused a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with one count of murder and charges of attempted murder while armed.

The event prompted the government to suspend asylum processing and cease providing entry permits to owners of passports from Afghanistan.
