AC Shadows Reveals Surprising AoT Crossover for Holiday Season
In a unexpected partnership that challenges traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including free extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Uncovered
According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious encounter leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of prohibited practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The narrative features a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret cult.
The adventure focuses on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The teaser features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview finishes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Bonus Material
Players who accomplish the mission will obtain an unique katana in addition to multiple items secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
